For anyone with a medical background... is this possible, and if so, how should it be treated?? Say a girl has a vaginal yeast infection, messes around with her partner, performs oral sex, and later notices symptoms of an oral yeast infection. Is this transfer possible, from the girl to the guy, and then from him to her through oral sex?

Yes it is possible!! You can get creams and pessaries (you need to treat both of you!!!) and you can also get some gel stuff that goes in your mouth. You both need to be treated and you need to say no to sex for between 3 - 7 days whilst the treatment is being taken and the yeast infection goes.

Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:

Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

I am an MD. Yes, this is very possible, and is in fact common. The best home remedy against yeast is vinegar. Unless you are immunocompromised in some way, yeast is not a serious problem, only just a nuisance.

I don't have a medical background but it is very possible. Even during child birth, babies can contract a yeast infection (normally called thrush) in their mouths.
