No, I think you are depressed. A big sign of depression is that you lose motivation for things that used to be priorities, such as these big assignments. I'm sorry that you feel this way and I hope you patch things up with your family.

I hope you aren't an English major...
What you put into your life is what you get out of it. There is a moment in every exchange with anyone where you have the choice to accept or reject situation. I might make you feel better to shift the problem to others that 'made you do something', but it really is all in you. You are personally unlimited in your life and your are personally responsible.

I hate that feeling.
Let it wash all over you, through you, then out of you.
Then you can pick yourself up and move on.
Keep in mind these feelings are just transient noise and the real you - that menace to society, heavy drinker and all-round fun human being - is just under the surface and wanting to get back.

An rationalizer and excuse maker but not a slacker.
If you really feel that way then maybe you need to get some help.
Those are some of the symptoms of Depression

your listening to that little voice in your head too much. Quit making excuses for yourself because you'll never get anything done. Don't wait to finish/start something, think of all the time you'll have to do anything you want when your done. Its a more productive mindset or set goals and rewards like when i finish this project i'm going to _______ fill in the blank to your hearts desire.

Have a better opinion of yourself. Don't base your success or failure on what others think of you becasue you will never be able to please everyone all the time. Know your doing your best and dont worry about what others think, dont give up because someone stuck the boot into you when you were down, get back up and move forward. :)

I guess I don't understand what the fight in July has to do with not getting your job done. You could be a slacker. Or just a procrastinater.
