How can a privacy concerned shredderless individual dispose of paper documents?

If you don't have a shredder, but keep getting TONS of mail that, if intercepted, could be used to steal your identity, how can you safely get rid of it?

rip it up !tiny pieces ! u can do it,its gr8 excercise!!!!ps-if u have a cat,throw the tiny pieces out with the cat litter!!!!
