Does anyone know how important grade point average is if you are planning to go to a state college for example California State University Fresno?

GPA is very important! Try to carry at least a 3.2 or better.

Even if you're going to a state or a community college there is a minimum GPA that you need. It'll be lower than an Ivy League school's requirement, but they still have standards.

Your grades are only one factor colleges consider

-your admissions essay/application
-testing scores (SATs)
-extracurricular activities (clubs/sports)
- what type of classes did you take (honors/AP are better)

pretty important (also important are SAT scores, Extra-Curicular activites and/or sports, Yor application, and your intervew) GOOD LUCK GRL!
