Do a 50's or hippies theme. have best dressed, most original hair do or clothing. You can take a theme like that and just do all kinds of fun things. We did one like it and took the girls to a thrift shop and gave them 30 min to pick themselves out the outfit for under 10.00. They used the clearance. They had so much fun getting to shop for the clothes they thought were funny and we just had pizza, chips, sodas, and cookies. Hope you find one you like and have fun.

Well get a vote on what do you want to do (games, what to watch), and don't bother with a theme, unless it's a special time of the year like Halloween. Themes might wind up costing you some money, and well, all you have to do is have fun =). For food, just order something. Like a week ago my friends slept over, and I was so tired cooking for them.
ORDER FOOD! DON'T COOK! You can bake stuff though =D.

Let them be involved. Ask them to bring favorite movies from home, Get homemade pizza kits and let them make their own with their favorite toppings(but then have a group cleanup), have them bring their favorite CD's, Do a make your own sundae with a variety of toppings, find some cheap craft kits, etc.
I had a slumber for my preteen Sunday School Class last Christmas, and we made homemade candy, and each girl took some home.

why does a teen need a theme for their party just treat them like a 5 year old they just want to have fun
