Im a guitarist by nature, but one drummer who I think is pretty darn good is Danny Carey from tool.

Buddy Rich was pretty darn good...but gotta love Gene Krupa too (drum solo in Goodman's "Sing SIng Sing" ); however in the rock era you have to love John "Bonzo" Bonham from Zeppelin.

As you know, all the modern power rock drummers have cloned every one of his licks(some of them don't even know it) yet he is still the master.
