In Iowa, carhartts rule. You really need them for hunting, ice fishing, and various activities in the winter. They aren't as heavy as a lot of coats but the material can take a beating. They are also just the thing you want for any thing you might do outside in Iowa. Working on your car, deer hunting, ice fishing, farming, and just for keeping warm. Their jackets really rule. I don't hunt, so I don't have the coveralls and such.
