I saw Inconvenient Truth back in June when it came out. I really enjoyed the movie. It shows a side to Al Gore I've never seen. It tells his life story. Gore came into politics determined. to change Washington's environmental policies based on what his Yale professor predicted about global warming. Gore was naive in believing that once other politicians heard what was going on that things would change, and there's been a struggle for years and Washington has ignored global warming. Gore's thesis is basically that global warming has been ignored because heeding warnings would mean changing way of life of most Americans, therefore, it is an inconvenient truth. This analogy can be applied to many problems society faces and not just global warming.

Gore provides a lot of evidence, and it's really sad and startling to look at images of melting ice caps. He links global warming to the increase of tropical storms and hurricanes like Katrina and (to me) what he says makes a lot of sense.

The only criticism I've heard from some is that although he makes a strong case that global warming is an urgent matter, there's not enough proof that CFCs cause global warming. One organization even went as far to say "Carbon dioxide. They call it pollution. We call it life."

I have seen it and the world needs to WAKE UP. We cannot continue with gas guzzling vehicles and keep living the lazy American life and expect to get away with it. Nature, if not terroists, are going to get us back (i am not pro-terrorist, I am just saying we need to wake up as a country and do something about it). We are one of the main problems in the world and we cannot even get our own backyard cleaned.

As far as the documentary is concerned, it is very well made and very informative. It shows STATISTICS about where we are going and where we are headed, based on current rates. Also shows evidence of global warming, with very good description of what that is. Even for someone who knows nothing about the subject, the film by itself is very informative and worth seeing.

Saw it. Liked it. He's much better fighting for the environment than running for President.

We (human race) are at 6 billion (and growing) and we dump tons of CO2 into the atmosphere every day. Call it global warming or not, we're changing things.

I've seen it. It's really good and makes a lot of sense. But if you're conservative it'll probably piss you off. But it's downright funny at times. (Futurama clip.)
