Know your resume very well. Don't ask about salary or benefits until offered the job.

For the first interview wear clothes slightly nicer than what you would wear to work if you got the job (if you're wearing a suit wear a white shirt that does NOT have a button down collar). The night (or days) before spend some time on the company website - interviewers are very impressed if you show knowledge of the company (being able to appropriately say things along the lines of "....yes I saw your revenues were up significantly last quarter" or "I see things are going well with that new acquisition" will earn extra brownie points)

Do use proper grammar, no slang, no gum chewing, speak clearly, sit up straight, your answers should be short and concise, don't ramble, be direct, make eye contact with your interviewer, act interested, wear proper attire.

Be prepared. Do some research on the company, think about some questions to ask, take a notebook or portfolio so you can write things down if you have to. Take some extra resumes just in case someone else is going to talk to you. Think about how you might answer a potential question. Always answer positively, NEVER give a negative answer. Turn negative questions into positives.

do have eye contact. do wear decent clothes. do shake hands upon entering the room. do speak clearly. do bring a copy of your resume. do ask questions. do research on the job before the interview.
dont chew gum, squirm, be late or ask questions such as, how many breaks will I have or how much time can i take off. Near the end of the interview you can inquire what the vacation and sick time policy is, but dont let them think that is the most important thing to you. good luck

There are obvious dos and don'ts and I'm sure you can come up with those yourself. The honest truth of the situation is that it has to do with two people and what their perceptions are of each other. Relax and be yourself. Either you'll be a fit or you won't, but that is out of your hands. Don't harass yourself over what you should or shouldn't due as it will just make you nervous and detract from you being you.

I think all of the above is sound advice. I'd also recommend being able to stress what you can do for the company, how you would be able to increase their bottom line, organize their operations, ect. If you can research their company beforehand, that would be a plus and would come across as impressive.

Do rehearse any questions you think they'll ask prior to the
interview. Don't panic and jump out of a window.

Do think of yourself as a product. Try to sell your product. Do not look unambitious, lazy. If you don't know something, tell them that you don't know, but are a fast learner. Good luck!

DO: Be yourself. You want to be hired based on your personality and your skills. If an employer hires you because you are pretending you'll fit in, you won't. Get hired for who you are, what you are, what you know, and you'll be hired because you will fit in not because you want to fit in.
