Yes, I would. I wouldn't be entitled to what was obtained before the marriage. I certainly wouldn't want someone to take all that I had acquired before we were married.

Prenuptial agreement sounds like something two people who do not trust one another would go into. I strongly advise one who has to sign one or feels they must draw one up to reevaluate what you are about to do, because obviously you are NOT in love.

yes its not just my money is my money. anything can be added to a prenuptial agreement even how much the alimony will be and all that. kind of a good thing if you ask me.

If the situation called for it, yes I would (i.e., if I somehow became a celebrity or engaged to a celebrity and/or one of us was extremely wealthy). You already know that in a case like that, a lot is at stake if you don't have one (not that you really want to consider the possibility of divorce if you love someone, but you have to face reality).
I haven't done so already, but neither my wife nor myself was rich or famous when we married & it was a first (and hopefully last) marriage for both of us.

Nope... trust is very important.
Of course, I may make an exception if she lays the arguments very well and really needs it, but I'd rather not have any sort of legal entanglement.... if we are going to marry, there should be a high level of trust between us.

If there's no trust and love... what's the point of marrying at all?

My parents did not like my husband. They thought he was marrying me to get something; they would have LOVED a pre-nupt. I would NEVER ask for one. I am sure that my parents have "safeguarded" my inheritance from him by setting up a trust. I don't agree, but there is nothing that I can do about it.

My husband and I have now been married for over four years and he has more than proved to me that a pre-nupt was unecessary.

after being burned once....if i had anything of value...lol....yes I would do a prenup....unfortunately the ex already took everything so now it would be pointless as the only thing of value 7 years later is the new woman in my life and I highly doubt that I could have a prenup say I can keep her in the event of a breakup

I didn't have anything valuable to "prenup", but I work for a young dentist and he says that anyone he marries will sign a prenup or he won't marry them. (He is kinda shallow) He says that he has an entire staff to be concerned about and if a woman he married turned out to be a gold digger, his staff would be left out in the cold, and he won't allow that.

Yes, I would if it was fair. It must take into consideration earning power lost by staying home and child rearing(if that is decided on) and how you expect you signifigcant other to live while married IS how they are going to want to live afterward. Be fair and it shouldn't be problem. Good Luck!

I would if I was the one that had all the money. Really though, to me thats means that the marriage is doomed to fail because you already have a lack of trust in the person you are marrying.
