if any woman is in an abusive relationship....verbally or physically, they should get out, some men do realise what they have done when it's too late, or when theres no one there for them to abuse any more, some dont care, some may regret it, but they still do the same thing if the woman will allow it, this goes for women who abuse men too...not saying that all men are abusive because they are not, but the ones who are don't deserve a good woman, and vice versa

Nope. They don't ever fully comprehend. If are thinking about taking a guy back because he seems to have changed, I hope you rethink it. He might have some temporary understanding, but when under pressure, he'll return to his old ways as a knee-jerk reaction. I suggest you start new with someone else instead.

I left my ex 3 years ago and divorced for 2 1/2years but from the things he says I know he will never realise the 26 years of hell he put me through and still blames me for it all saying I was the selfish one and he did everything, including all the horrid things because he loved me, and always will!!!!!

no. They only are sad that they now have to go find someone new to beat up emotionally verbally and or physically. Get on with your life girl, he dont care that he hurt you he only cares that he has to fend for himself and has no one else to blame.

No they don't. They only care about themselves. To this day my ex- husband is still asking why I left him. He thought he did nothing wrong. I guess I got tried of being belittled and shouted at.

I have been there and I can tell you this.....they do not care. If they had cared they would not do that at all.
These type of men go from verbial abuse to physical abuse and it can get worse.

they use the emotional harm to control you. they think your low and no one else will want you only because they are insecure and don't want you to leave them, so they try to make you feel trash.
so no, they don't care about your feelings, it's all about selfishness.

That could be at the only point that they do realise they made a mistake.
