Often when the autumn is at hand, when the earth is adorned with all its charms, when the ruddy grape swells with its purple juice, when we feel alternately a nipping cold or an oppressive heat, this variation of temperature throws us into a state of languor. May your mistress then retain her HEALTH. But if some indisposition should compel her to keep her bed, if she falls a VICTIM to the evil effects of the season, then is the time for you to show her how attentive and loving you can be; then is the time to sow the seeds of the harvest you may gather later on. Be not deterred by the attentions her malady demands.

That depends upon what kind of behavior you’re talking about. If I were to have, say, high cholesterol I would say yes, it’s do to the behavior that I eat meat a lot. However, I couldn’t say I had high cholesterol because I’m a jerk all the time. (This is just an example I am nether a jerk nor do I have high cholesterol)
I don’t think that you’d be “cursed” (for lack of a better word) with cancer just because you’re a dishonest, money-grubbing, power hungry, CEO. (That’s also just an example, not all CEO’s are like that) While I am fond of the “what comes around goes around” philosophy, it doesn’t seem to fit all situations.

A large part of my health condition is predicated by genetics -- what I inherited from my ancestors. And another part of that condition is determined by luck -- contacting a terrible disease, for example. Coming down with Lou Gehring or Parkinson, or cancer. Or even influenza. Within that framework, my behavior greatly affects whether or not my health is as good as it possibly can be and as this is the only part of the equation I can control, I do so rigorously.

Hi again. Yes, my health is directly connected to the choices I make. Usually, I try to make those choices be good ones so I am strong and in shape. But, as a woman, I reserve the right to make a bad choice once in a while. Especially if the music is beautiful and the moon is full.

Somewhat, yes. But Genetics seem to be the main reason. I have the same ailments as my parents, although not to the same extreme due to better medical treatment.
