i'm not doubting that she has creole in her heritage, but she never really said that before when everybody thought she was mixed. She didn't bring it out until she was trying to publicize her clothing and her song deja vu, and that still doesn't make her not be considered as black because 80% of blacks in America have some mixture in their background.

Think it might have anything to do with Hurricane Katrina and the onslaught of celebs that are working to fix New Orleans??

I did not know that, but her agent probably told her to make herself a little more interesting. I dont think that anyone could challenge the info except the family and they are not saying anything.

but wasnt she born and raised in houston she said that she never went to public sachool and that she never went to "the hood" that people think she is from the hood because of her color
