Carhartt is a brand of work clothes; overalls, coats, boots. That's funny you thought it was something to do with being a redneck, I guess it depends on the way you look at it.

Very good work clothes. Nothing to do with being a redneck tho. Working outside they really come in handy.

A carhartt is a really thick, cover-all outfit. Guys who work long hours in crappy weather wear one. They're similar to overalls, but they are made of thicker, more durable material and keep you really warm.

Hey, if buying one of the few lines of clothing still made in the U.S. makes me a redneck, I'm proud to be one!

Clothes that farmers wear! And construction workers. Here where I live in Indiana, it is almost like a fashion statement - a lot of women wear their boyfriends jackets.
And a recent Toyota truck ad has a guy telling how their trucks are made in the US - in Indiana. He is wearing a Carharrt jacket & standing in front of a barn. What a marketing move! That made me laugh.
