They are quite often called the Smiths or the Jones and for some reason people believe they have to keep up with them. They are often judgemental and your parents have a problem with what they think or if you happen to do the wrong thing what they will say. Just remember 'They are watching' so be careful!

They are your peers, the people about your age that live around you. Like if you happen to like a particular shade of red lipstick no one else does a friend might ask you OH ! Honestly! What would they say if they saw you!Forget they and them though. Just be your self.
The they in terms of you know what they say, what goes around, comes around are people who lived before us. Like ben Franklin and so on, who were concidered to be wise for their times. Hope this helps.

I have always wondered that.... whenever anyone says that I always ask who they are talking about and usually "they" have no answer. So I think that there really is no they. Unless you would like to say that I am they. Which would be pretty cool.
