I'd say plumber, but I'm not sure you spell well enough.

Judging by your writing, some more schooling would do a great deal of good, especially when you expect a higher paying job. Written communication skills are essential. Even in defense of your "just fine" writing, it's just not. School can also teach you about how you appear to the rest of the world and you're not offended by what other people think because you think differently. We can only go by the evidence.

What are some good career opportunities that don't require a lot of school and that pay well? Basically, I'm in the social work field but I'm not sure if that's what I want to do anymore. I want to do something that pays well but that I won't have to go to school for years for. I want to be able to enjoy life and not work myself to death... Any thoughts?

I'd try to win the Power Ball lottery. That's probably the most you can get with out an education. As for careers, there is stuff out there. What I recommend that you do is go to www.funeducation.com and take their free career test. If your honest in answering all of the questions, it will give you a list of what I feel to be fairly accurate jobs that you'll enjoy and probably be successful at. Once you have a hand full of career ideas that you think you may be happy with, research them and see what you find out.

Good luck. It can be done, but ultimately more education is your best bet.

I can understand why you would want to do something else! I have foster children and the workers work all the time and I do not see how you all have any piece of mind by the end of the week, and sometimes you have to work all weekend!!!! I truly feel sorry for you. I am in a home based business, and I love it . I am making money and I can show you how to replace your income. I would love to hear back from you. contact me at bowenquarterhorsesandpaints@ya.

Real Estate agent:

Depending on your location the course is between 1 month to 1 year.

The money you make just depends on how well you work. Some agents take it easy and just sell enough to get by. Others real work hard and make tons. The sky is the limit.

Good jobs do not necessarily pay well but can be a reward in themselves.

Maybe work in a field where you have a hobby interest.

Don't confuse wealth with happiness

Your plan will turn into a sad disappointment to you as the years pass. School and training remains the best choice.
