There is actually a federal law about this very incident. You will be tempted to keep it and never let a soul know....but in today's day and age, if you don't split that with witnesses they will turn you in immediately when asked about it.
By protocol your duty is to report the bag on the ground to a local police department and not to touch it...however if you do touch it bring it in immediately to the bank you are infront of. As armored cars never travel anywhere else. Immediately flag down the first attendant available explain the situation and look the camera directly head on. The attendant will call the police for you and you are to remain there to give a full accounting and statement.
It is possible the armored car company will have a good samaritan reward for someone just like you for following the law. Oh and then think happy thoughts for the drivers and carriers of the money from that armored car, because they just lost their job.

Look down at the bag, look around, look at the bag again and say to myself......
"Oh crap.... I should do something shouldnt i.....? ~.~ dang it, now i gotta choose between being honest or greedy........... hmm.......... should i have gotten the liscense plate number? .... i wonder if this is counterfeit........."
and while i'm standing there pondering the situation, a cop who was trying to catch the armored car will probably drive by and make the decision for me, and i wont have to worry any more..... ^_~ Maybe i'd get lucky and get a "Hero" title, or a "reward" or something........

depends how much
over a thousand- turn it in
over a hundred- donate it
over fifty- might keep it but guilt would eventually make me pay it back
less then fifty- probally keep it
it also depends on where the money was going like if it was going to Bill Gates i'd just say he dont need more

Give it to the police as quickly as I can, with as many witnesses as possible. I do not want that kind of trouble - robbing a bank. No thank you. I love my freedom too much, more than money.

I would turn it over to the police, because what goes around comes around and if I ever lost anything, it would be really nice to have it returned

The only rational choice is to report it to the proper authorities. This is what I would expect of anyone in civilisation; respect for the property of others.

In all honesty I think I would pocket enough to cover my debt and then try and give the rest to my family. I might even save it to pay my tuition for gruduate school.
Depends on how I feel.
