[123] [456]... ?

On Myspace, I've noticed that quite a few people have their display names as something like this: "(their name)[123]" or like [456] and so on.. it seems to be mostly like scensterrs. or emo kidds. but what does it mean? thanks :D

if the screen name you want is already in use, and you still want it add a number, jane123, bob876 and so on.
