As a 52 year old woman with years of yucky periods and child birth, I can tell you, don't Chance it!!! During the time that you are on this medicine use both tampon and at least a panty liner! It will give you time to get to the bathroom. I have had many clots so big that they almost push the tampon out with them!
YOU are in school, that would be awful! Wear BOTH!
Man I have been there! Good luck, Just cover your bases!

Tampons generally do not absorb clots that well. They'll either come out when you take the tampon out or ooze around the tampon onto your pad/underwear. You might want to stick to pads the next period. I know they can chafe but the kotex ones and suprizingly, the wal-mart brand of overnights with wings aren't that irritating.

Clots won't just hang out in there, don't worry. See if your gyno wants to check you again in a few more months to make sure that took care of the problem.

The clots will come out using tampons, but much slower. Use a pad when you are clotting real bad.

You will be fine :) But consider using pads too for some backup...you may have so much bleeding this time that you go through tampons more often than usual.

It will come out. However, I strongly urge you to use pads for that particular period. Tampons make cramping WORSE. You will cramp like you've never cramped before....it will not be pleasant.

It will come out eventually. I have had clotting before too. My advice, don't worry because it will come out. Promise.
