i have the money to buy ps2 but not the ps3
I have no HDTV
Never had any sony console before

If you want to wait for the PS3 then you will need about 800-900 bucks anyway because the deluxe system is 599.00 plus tax and you want to have some money to buy some games with as well so you will need about 900 bucks just to get started. Now i think the PS3 will be worth every single dollar, but with the delays overseas and the amount of units they will be shipping over here, you may be waiting until February or march before you can get your hands on one anyways. The PS2 is a good system and has sold tens of millions of systems, but when the PS3 and the WIii come out, the PS2 will be outdated seeing how the PS3 can play all old PS1 and PS2 games. The PS3 is best played on a HDTV 1080, but it will work on any t.v so it doesn't matter if you have an HDTV anyways. I am waiting for the PS3 myself, but like i said supply issues may delay the PS3 for some time. I have a PS2 for sale and games if you are int rested.

The cheapest PS3 will be $500 without games. You will probably be in for a long wait unless you plan to camp out at a store it will most likely be spring until you Can get your hands on a PS3. I would recommend getting a Wii in November or picking up a used PS2 or Xbox at EB or Gamestop. Though you can just about get a core 360 for $299.
If you can tell us what games you are looking forward to playing it would really help out.

If you can save up to at least $500, then wait for the ps3. Either way, you probably shouldn't by the ps2. Maybe save up to get an Xbox 360, or get a Wii when it comes out.

I would wait for the PS3 or maybe the XBox 360. My son has the PS2 and Xbox, they are totally different in graphics and the games rock.

I would just save ur money and get the ps3 and people say get the xbox360 but i say that it isnt to great ive seen the graphics of the xbox360 and they arent much horribly better than the ps2.

Well, lets just say that for $500 the ps3 has to be worth it, Iand I think it is. I would wait for the ps3. Although xbox 360 is awesome, too.

if u can get more money buy the PS3. if you cant, just wait for the Wii. It has nice graphics yet economical. or an xbox 360.

ps2 is great but ps3 will be well worth the wait, it'll be heaps better, i would wait
