If you download software/programs from Limewire, they are pretty much all viruses, most of the songs that I download don't have viruses, but most of the videos are just porn. I still reconmend getting free anti-virus software from AVG: http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1 if you don't have any anti-virus yet.

By the way: if you have spware/adware detection software, Limewire may come up under "adware" you can just ingore it.

No, Limewire isn't bad it's only when you try and download some programs like a game or something off of it is when you are at risk of getting a virus. But, if you just HAVE to get a program off of Limewire get Ad-Aware SE first and run a scan after you have downloaded the program. That should fix your problem with the Limewire scare that you have.

I've been using limewire for over 2 years on my computer, and so far no viruses. It would also depend on which operating system you have. If your computer has windows XP then it is a little more secure.

It all depends on what you download. I think limewire is good for low occurences of viruses. i would stay away from kazza. So just watch what you downlaod and never download something that has an attchated file. Its usually something harmfull for your computer.

Yeah, people often plant viruses in downloads. Either way u should always have a good antivirus program running on your computer.

No, i use limewire all the time, you just have to have some add-ware or firewall to block any unwanted crap. But it's a great program and i've never gotten any viruses, so... never fear! :)
