The atmosphere around the earth has layers. One of these layers is called the ozone layer. This is the layer that protects earth from harmful sun rays (ultra Violet). Green house gasses are the ones that destroy this layer. They come from many many different places. Emissions from burning just about anything, and even when you "fart" these gases are released. They come from the natural decay of plant and dead animals as well.

good luck with your homework.
