have you ever cooked cow tongue?damn you'll wanta stay outside but,I have smelled worse.My grand daughter had to cook the skin and meat from the bones of a Turkey buzzard to reconstruct the skeloten for earth science class.

Chitterlings...and of course u would have to know that they would smell bad when cooked because they are the intestines of swine.....they had crap flowing through them for some time....so of course they are gonna stank .
