I think Edger Kacy (sp) was pretty acurate too. I've never read anything by John Houge, thanks for the info I will check him out.

Nostradamus obtained most of his material from the book of Revelation. Quoting for Revelation does not make a man a prophet. Most of his "predictions" were so general and vague, it was people themselves who claimed such and such was predicted by Nostradamus. That is the same thing people are doing today.

Whether believed or not, the Prophet Joseph Smith, among other predictions of his, prophesied the Civil War to start in South Carolina and one of its issues were over slavery. The date of revelation was on 25 December 1832.

The Civil War began in 1861, did it not?

Consider Isaiah.
He wrote to Israel warning of the coming captivity.
And the next prophet, Jeremiah, wrote from the captivity they were warned of.

nosty is not that accurate. You have to look at his prog's with rose colored glasses. There really is not a great prog. IMO
