Age of Apocalypse. It refers to a short period of time in the Marvel Universe when the X-Men series of comics went into an alternate universe where Apocalypse had taken over Europe and had come near to conquering the rest of the world. During that time, Marvel introduced the alternate reality versions of the regular X-Men heroes and villains. A couple made the transition into the regular Marvel universe when time got straightened out again.
