To tie a ribbon is not to say that you do nothing else. It is an outward symbol to let others know they are in our thoughts and prayers... much like a pink ribbon for breast cancer.

Everyone supports the victims, the survivors and their families. Sorry, but a blue ribbon is an empty gesture. If you want to show support, do something real. Volunteer your time or donate your money.

No, I won't tie a blue ribbon, yellow ribbon, or any other ribbon on my car antenna. I don't do anything that involves the use or wearing of ribbons of any color for any reason. All this came from that ungodly mess called Tie A Yellow Ribbon by Tony Orlando and Dawn. God, how I hate that song!
