I always take a hot bath. As hot as I can stand it, without passing out. Then I lay back and put most of my head underwater (with my hands behind my head to hold it in position), with just my nose sticking out. You would not believe just how quickly the headache will go away. I've even managed to fall asleep while doing this, and have only woken up when the water has cooled and the pain was gone!

That is funny because I was just going to say to drink water. It is true that not drinking enough water or being dehydrated can cause headaches. So more than likely that's what it is. There usually isn't no easy cure for things in a pill form because stuff like headaches are usually caused by something that your lacking or not doing, identifying and figuring out what the problem is, allows you to fix it naturally and easily by just drinking a glass of water and trying to remember rather than popping a Tylenol or Advil! : )

I don't drink any water and don't have headaches (drink coffee and hot chocolate). It is suggestive; you have a high cervical problem which becomes aggravated, as you become more tired later in the day. Suggesting you have a very noticealble postural discrepancy..This can be established simply by pressing at the base of the skull and seeing which side is the more painful. There are other symptoms that go along with it, but you do not associate them with the headache. Such as sore scalp, extra noises in the ear, occasionally cracking sound in the neck when turning certain ways.. can go on and on with things you may be experiencing with this type of problem.

No way to get rid of them immediately....the best way is prevention. Crank up your water, a good way to remember is to get a large water bottle. Fill it in the morning and keep it with you. Refill it by lunch time. Also, do you have allergies? If the headaches started recently, check pollen counts in your area. My husband just started getting them about 2 weeks ago...realized it was hayfever, started taking Alavert (otc med) every morning and has been fine since.
Also, if you are in a situation where you can rest....when you first start to feel a headache coming on, take a 15 min rest in a dark room with your eyes closed. Good luck.

I don't know how old you are, but it sounds like maybe you should see a doctor. Do you drink alcohol? That could be part of it, or you might be having stress related issues that cause your headache.
Do you have relatives with the same issue? This might be an indicator, but the best deal would be to run the headache by a medical professional.

I can't see the lack of water causing your headaches, but it's important to get at least eight glasses a day. Though, personally I hate water and so drink tea, soda etc. Aspirin is the only thing that works for me.
But I suspect that what you have are tension headaches. Are you under a lot of stress from work? It might be that your going to have to learn to relax more.

There is no quick cure, If you know it comes from not drinking enough water(dehydarted) why don't you be good to yourself and make sure you drink enough water. I have heard of this but I am wondering if you drink alot of caffeine and maybe this make play into it?
