PCI? or PCI-E?
The only good PCI card out is the Radeon X1300. You can also get that in PCI-E. But I personally recommend the Radeon X1900 XTX if you can afford it. It's the fastest GPU on the market.

Most of the later Geforce and ATI cards will run BF2 and come in PCI Express flavors; the Geforce 5800, 6800 and 7800 series cards will all work, but if you want to run at the highest res with the most detail I would recommend getting a 7900GT. They are about $250 - 300, but they run great.
I had an ATI 9800 Pro up until a few months ago and it would run BF2 but not with very good frame rates. If you like ATI I would go with an X800, X1800 or the X1900.

If you check the games specs, it will tell you what kind of graphics card is required to run the game.
