me and my cousin want to start our own band. i can sing well and she can sing kinda. i can write poetry and i can write my songs. we need some help on how to start a band. we need some people to play industments. i live in woodstock georgia if anyone is interested. and any advice on how to start one how to put out the word about our band?? please help becuase this would be great for me and me cousin to do something!

Go to local places where people play original music and meet some people that want to join you

well i wanna start a band! i am trying to teach myself bass guitar! But yeah i don't live in georgia sorry.. but hey i write lyrics too! well how to start a band.. do you know any friends or anyone that plays any instruments? if you do.. talk to them... or you can put an add in the newpaper... cuz alot of bands i know did that when they were in need of players... so yeah oh practice singing alot just to make sure you are good! and also maybe if you can't start your own band well just look in a newspaper adds to see if any bands need singer/s you know? so yeah i hope i helped you some. I'm in a band, but i was asked to be in it. But how the creators started it was by just asking around school. They the lead guitarest then me. So all I can say is ask around, mabey put up an ad in a local music store.

Find ppl interested in the music you like to play get together and play cover songs to improve your chops and throw in some songs of your own

advertise in music magazines, newspapers, music websites or if you live in a big city hold an open audition somewhere for the band members you need

find people who would want to be in a band like a guitarist or drummer or something you could probably start by playing in school like talent night or in class for roleplays or something
