Well that's a new one on me! And yes, it sounds offensive! I am aware that mixed race children are particularly sensitive about their origins and often feel that they don't belong anywhere, so it is hard to be called a name that reflects on both sides, even if you can see the funny side! My mother was Welsh and my father was from Surrey, so does that make me a Welshurrey!

not heard that name before and hope i never do as my 2 kids are mixed raced and yes i have called them smoked Irish which they like as it covers both sides of our family but i would never call it to another child or person because to them it would be an insult ...as to what is the world coming too ...the end .... we no longer care what we do to other people ,or say its the I'm aright jack so **** you and I'm sorry but it comes from the parents and grandparents
