I should be more worried than anyone out there about these things, and I could care less. It will be pretty strange/sad to look out the window tomorrow :( They unfurled a huge flag right-side
up in our lobby today. God bless all those who passed on and their
loved ones five years ago(oh my god, was it already 5 years!).
It's one of those things like Kennedy's assassination, where you never forget where you were when it happened(I was watching TV
in the living room, a day after I got back from a Las Vegas vacation,
laying on the couch), and it is a timeless part of our collective mental mindscape. Lots of love to all of you out there...let's make it mean something, and try being a little extra kind to each other
tomorrow......Love and brotherhood always conquers hate and war...never forget that!
-Peace..................

Yes, I am still mad because it was an inexcusable act. I can understand your concerns, though for where you work. I'd feel nervous about it, but at the same time, it's not so much that I fear anything terrorist-related. The height in general & going up so high in elevators would get to me. The highest floor I ever had to work on was a 14th floor in a Delaware building, back in '99. I know what you mean, too about always remembering where you were and what you were doing at the time of the event. It's odd, but I still remember driving into work that day, when it was still early enough to be just a regular day. There wasn't anything that made the commute that day easy to remember...maybe it's just that looking back on it, that part of the day was unfortunately about to be the end of how things used to be. When everything started happening, I was at my desk, listening to the radio. Of course, the common thought was that there was some freak accident, which would have been bad enough itself. But then all hell broke loose.

My mom was at her job and called me from there, crying. I began asking what's going on in a panic. My dad was over at my grandmother's house, which we had to clean out because she was in a nursing home permanently by then, and someone was going to move in. Nobody could reach him, the tv was taken out and he didn't have radio. So he didn't know anything about it until early evening.

Ever since, there's been a sign hanging on a fence outside a house not too far away. It says, "God have mercy on us all." I agree with that and with what you said. We should all be extra kind to eachother, and help to make good overcome evil. Peace to you, too!

I will remember what happened everyday ,it has never left my memory for long. I make it a point to go in all large buildings all the way to the top,my small way of rebelling against such evil. I have changed how I see things,no more mountains made out of mole hills,no sweating the small stuff, loving more tangibly than before, hugging more often. I see my neighbors more clearly with more compassion. I changed that day as many have . We can never be the same as we were before that event shook us we can't. Love thy neighbor as thyself that changes things even on the large scale. God Bless the families everyday.

No worries of something like this happening again for a long time. When the govt. orchestrates something so major as they learned from the "moon landing" and JFK so closely together, people catch on. Horrible thing, its unfortunate we will never really have all the answers.
