The Other Side. See that is the problem because once you are on the 'other side' where you were becomes the other side.
You always want what you cannot have. Humans think those things or any thing will bring happiness. They look in the wrong place, the 'other side.'
Another thing to consider is when you get to the other side and you plan to stay, not only does it be come 'this side,' but everywhere you go, there you are. You bring along your set of traits that made the grass the color it was and now you're on the 'other side' the grass will become the color it was when you were on 'this side.'
So, it may be greener and when it is, it will always be greener. You can't go get greener grass, you have to green up the grass you have. Thankfully sometimes the grass is not greener. I don't live in Iraq where the grass is sand!

Depends on who is on the other side and whose grass it is. Humans just naturally assume that the grass is greener on the other side, because we are actually very self-centered creatures. Therefore, only our problems are visible to us, and we can't really determine if the grass is greener on the other side without actually testing it out or taking a look, since we are not able to observe the grass from a distance due to our lack of open-minded-ness and the fact that most of the time, our vision is clouded by our own problems and our own lives. We always want what we can't have, so I suppose that even if the grass on the other side had more complications, we'd still enjoy being in a new situation more.

It depends. On ther other side, is there a neighbor who adores his lawn and would do anything for it? Does he use the finest fertilizer? Has he installed sprinklers in his yard for the summer months? If you answered yes to any of those questions, then the grass might be greener on the other side! Climb over the fence and take a look!

No, only the illusion of being greener. The problems that go with the greener grass could outway what is on this side.

I was with this good guy one time and met this richer guy then the good guy. Left the good guy for the richer guy. The grass was not greener on the other side like, I thought it would be. It was only worse! Two wrongs don't make one right.

No, it just seems greener because people perceive it as something different, something that could change the dullness of their lives. They often focus too much on the shiny newness of something else to pay attention to the fact that there is bad that goes along with the good.

its an illusion, which is pretty much life anyway. once you get to the other side, after a while it fades to a little darker shade of brown than the side you left.
