There could be a simple explanation; you are scared of being on your own, and subconsciously, you want to be with mum where you feel somewhat safer. However, following it through, you use the word 'someone', in your narration (one person) then you start to use the word THEY, in, 'they set fire to the bathroom door'. You didn't even feel safe in the one place that you normally are safe, a locked bathroom. You had sought your mothers help, but even her emotional support couldn't assuage you. Bad enough to drive you out of your own house.
So, dreams are supposed to represent fears or wants. The best way to understand a dream is by the underlying emotion that it creates. In your case FEAR. You imbue your protaganists with considerable powers, even your mothers support doesn't help, and you can't get through to the police. I wasn't 100% clear when you said "my mother's next door", whether you meant a seperate house or another bedroom.
Don't try and understand a dream by interpreting the events in a literal sense. Unfortunately, you don't tell us anything about yourself, background, age, sex etc. Why are you living next door to your mother, where's your father, do you have a partner etc. Circumstances Circumstances, these are importent. It is about you.
Have you had similar dreams before, is there a pattern. Do you know what you would have told the Police if you had got through, again, focus on feelings. The explanation could be simple. Deep down, I am afraid of being on my own. Or, you have a problem in your life that is worrying you more than you think, say financial, your protaganists therefore,could be bailiffs. An ex partner who is concerning you. A fear of being dismissed at work because you can't cope, are you a single parent? Have you done something illegal? because your protaganists come across as being powerful.
Examine the problems and worries that you have in your life, and try to relate them to your dream.

Dreams usually do not mean the obvious. I mean I use to have the same reoccurring nightmare that I was being chased by a killer and I couldn't escape. I just kept running and running..I would wake up shaking. I thought maybe it was a sign that someone was trying to hurt me or my family. I finally had to go see a "dream therapist"...she told me that my dream meant that I was trying to run from a problem that I couldn't escape. She was right.Once I faced the real problem, I no longer had the dream. I wouldn't analyze it too much...did you eat late? Did you watch a scary movie? If the dream persist you might want to get a book on dream interpretation...if anything it will make for a good read.

It is a dream of privacy invasion and insecurity.
House = your world
Bath room = your most secretive place
Being set fire and broke in = invasion
Mum = your support.
999 = 911 in us, police
being intercepted = lose confidence.
In your case, you are insecure. Being invaded in the house means you feel very or little security about your life. Being invaded in your bathroom means your privacy, in this case, it means your relationship is being invaded or shattered. This could be due to sexually offense, it could be someone in the daily life who is staring at you all the time. That's why you projected that image in your dream to show you that you don't feel safe at all even at your house which translates you feel like being insecure about people around you. To you, mum is the only support you can trust. Calling police is the only way, but calls being intercepted means there is so much you can do and you cannot fight that feeling. You may be losing confidence in you.

A person’s life is full of dreams. Dream can be about one’s ambition which he gets fulfilled with the passage of time thru his own hard work, intelligence, good planning and with the blessings of Almighty. Another is day dreaming which is really not a good habit and can be controlled with one’s will power. But what about the dreams a person experiences during sleep. Do they hv effect in our real life? What do they mean? What is their interpretation? The person asks to his friends, elders and seniors in his social circle. Sometimes he gets satisfactory reply and sometimes not. These days Internet is a rich source of information. So one does not need to depend on others for one’s dream interpretation. The Yahansmaniac Community member suggests the following.

We all have issues and fears that we are in some way running away from them. Just like in your dream. You see somethig awful, you run. But you don't get away, that fearful thing is waiting for you. And the more you run, the worse it gets.
It has to do with feeling out of control of our lives. Mostly because we aren't facing some fear - calling Mom, giving a speech, paying bills, whatever. They say that fears only go away when we face them.
Is there anything you've been putting off because you "just don't feel like doing it"? You need to face that hidden fear and do it.

After such a scarry dream i will be extra carefull of what i do. When i go out or go to sleep i will make sure that all plugs are swtiched off when going out i will double check the locks on the doors to make sure they are locked. Most people do not believe in dreams. Its better to take extra care than regret.

You most have been watching, heard something or doing something before you went to bed. Then you had this nightmare or the brain intends to play about because you relaxed, mind will wonder in your sleep. I get a lot but don't worry they not the really one because you remember it. Those that you do not remember are the ones to worry about, but it depends on that person that had them.

you dream every night, usually about things that have happened that day or things you've spoken about. To remember a dream you have to wake up in a certain stage of your sleep pattern!
The dream itself is not significant, it doesnt mean that this will come true, its possible that something has happened in your life recently and your mom is the only one that makes you feel secure.

Sometimes dreams are not really what they appear. Concentrate on what you were feeling. Fear, loss, being desperate, your mother, hiding...
Maybe you experienced some loss in your life and want your mother, because she is the only one who can understand, or the one you want to understand.
Mothers usually protect, nurture, and love their children. Do you need that now...
