Right-click My Computer--Manage--Device Manager
It should show up there with an error beside it. It might have the name of the card there. If not you have to look at it and see what is printed on the card if it is a PCI card. Open the box and look.
If it is on the motherboard as most are, you can get the driver from the motherboard manufacturer. Look and see what kind of motherboard it is and go to their website.
Also you can download dirvers for original equipment from the computer manufacturer. If it is a DELL for instance, go to their site and put in the service tag number and you can get every driver there.

open your computer. and have a look at it. it should give you a name that you can search.
Otherwise do a hardware search . Go to control panel, add new hardware.
If there is a soundcard it will be detected (it should be detected anyway). windows may find the drivers for you
OR
You dont have one installed, it might be integrated onto the motherboard

If you don't want to open your case. Try Belarc Advisor. It's free at belarc.com
