Actually i think u have to change the feet into yards first then find the area which is length X width then multiple that by 18.

first you need to find the area. 24x18=432ft then you need to turn 432ft into yards. 3ft=1yard. 432/3= 144 yards. then mutiply by amount of carpet per yard 144x18=2592 and that is the answer
