Well, it sounds like the person who you are going on the date with knows that you are carrying a bit more weight, and they have still expressed interest, so don't worry overly much about it. Just go and be yourself, and try not to feel self conscious, as nothing is less appealing than an embarrassed person. The person you go with will not know if your embarrassment stems from something inside you, or from being seen with them, and I am sure you can see where that might cause problems.
If you want to lose weight so you feel better about yourself, start watching what you eat more closely, and start an exercise regimen. 28 pounds is a lot of weight to lose in a short period of time, so unless your date is set for Christmas time, it probably is not a realistic goal to lose that before the big day. Start on a healthier lifestyle now, and you may lose a bit before then, which should increase your confidence. When the big day rolls around, put on an outfit which is flattering and which makes you feel attractive, and just go and have fun. And most importantly, please remember that a good personality makes up for extra weight all the time. If that weren't the case, no one who is overweight would ever date or get married.

Unless your dates in at least a couple of months time you're not going to lose 2 stones healthily. This guys obviously asked you out as he likes you as you are. I don't think he'll have a fun time if you're lightheaded and dizzy through lack of food. If you want to lose weight for you then great buy do it sensibly. I'm doing really well with slimming world. It's not a diet so much as a healthy way of living and you don't have to cut any food groups out. It's really easy as it's made up mostly of free foods and my boyfriend doesn't ever realise he's doing it too!!!!! The meetings aren't bad if you get a good leader. I went to one where she was really patronising. I know what I should be eating, I just need the motivation of a weekly weigh in to do it!! My friend's been a target member for a year now as well so she doesn't ahve to pay and my sister has lost 2 and a half stones. If you don't want to go to a meeting then try it online if you're motivations good!

Not unless your date is in about 2 months or so time, this person who you are going on a date with is obviously very happy with how you look otherwise why would they have asked you out, if you want to lose weight do it properly and healthily, don't go starving yourself just to please others, it will make you ill and you won't be at your best for your date either, cut out all the crap from you diet, just have 3 meals a day and not fast food ones either, no goodies or booze till the date if that what you feel you must do to impress this person, I think you are just better been yourself and wait to do anything to yourself before the date, good luck and hope you have a lovely time.

I recently lost 30 pounds which i think is the equivalent of about 2 stone.
I did it by running 30 minutes every other day and eating healthier, no soda pop, junk food, switched to whole grain products and started eating smaller portions, and more often instead of 3 large meals a day I eat 5 smaller meals, and I also drink a lot of green tea witch helps to speed up my metabolism. The best idea though is to to speak to a doctor or nutritionist and try to avoid fad diets, they don't work in the long run. Just eat right and exercise.

Here is a diet to lose one stone in one week, but there is no point in cheating because then it will not work. I promise a stone in 1 week if you stick to it//// BUT no longer than one week or else it can be harmful (too much Vitamin C),
Eat as much as you want of fruit and nothing else. There are so many fruits about it will not get boring, but one potato or Mars bar and you will not lose a pound!!! It will and does work for all who need to lose weight and stick to it !! You can stuff yourself with bananas.pineapples the lot but one error and ..............

Hi I am in the same position! I need to loose weight for my sisters wedding,I also have two ston to loose. It can be very hard and depressing. I am also a student and I find it hard to find time to exercise and tend to snack on junk food.I have joined a sliming club, Rosemary Conley online and so far I find it excellent. Other slimming groups you attend in person are also excellent as there is good support and you will make friends. If you would like to e-mail me about this please do. I would love to hear from you!

Your date has invited you out as you are. To loose two stone will not happen overnight. You need to diet and exercise sensibly.
Enjoy your date, dress appropriately and have a great time.
Address your weight issue when you are ready and that is when you want to do it for you and not for a forthcoming event or for anyone else.
Good Luck.

Cut down on foods with a lot of saturated fat in them. Take plenty of exercise if you can ( jump rope is awesome for weight loss and you can do it in your garden where no one can see you) plus make sure you drink plenty of water as this will speed up your metabolism and keep your skin nice and healthy. Also if you exercise in the morning on an empty stomach this will burn fat a lot quicker! Hope this helps.
