I video tape them all the time. I met 'Uncle Jun' last week from the Sopranos and video taped him for a skit that he's doing. He's a really nice guy, down to earth and very personable. Sorry to say that I can't say more than that, and no, I don't know what's going to happen on this season of the Sopranos. He didn't say, and I didn't ask. :)

Once, when I was a teenager I met Jimmy Hendrix, trying out a EchoPlex unit down in Manny's Music in Manhattan. They had a little store that was half way below street level at the time on 48th Street between 6 & 7th Avenue. It was about 4:30 pm and I had just gotten out of class. I went down to Manny's to check out the keyboard gear. I was messing around in the sheet music section and a Rolls Royce pulls up and out came Jimmy with 2 body guards. He came into the store and had his 335 gold pickup guitar. He started fooling around with the EchoPlex that they just got in. It was quite memorable... Later that year Axis Bold as Love came out. Now I knew where he used the echoplex...

Yes...

Many.

I was raised knowing a certain televison/broadway/movie star was an "Uncle" though he was only a really good friend of the family.

I spent a summer with Tom Cruise and his family in Florida. (Before he married Nicole.)

The partial list that I know as "normal" people, though they are famous/semi-famous in your eyes include Harry Morgan, John Smith, Gene Wilder, Jerry Orbach (RIP), Christian Bale (Vegas... FUNNY story with that...), etc...

There are others, whom I wish I did not know so well... but, that is a different question for a different time.

As for George Clooney, nice guy, HUGE practical joker!! Beware!! LoL!!

You that I did meet... I did NOT like from the second he was in the room: Steve Vai. If I NEVER cross his path again, it will be too soon.

I used to work for a hotel reservations center and got to meet:

Erma Bombeck (she was doing voice-overs for the Butterball Turkey Talk line and came into our suite to use one of our empty offices)

Larry Hagman (Dallas) while on a familiarization trip, but it was Sunday and he doesn't speak on Sunday's (!) so he just waved, smiled and signed little fake "Larry Bucks"

Sonny Bono ... he was in Chicago at a trade show and was part owner of the restaurant that was in one of the hotels we took calls for... he came and met all the agents, then he graciously stayed behind and chatted with me for a few minutes about the future plans for the restaurant

It was fun!

I didn't, but my dad, when he was in the service in the 50's, met Marilyn Monroe and drove her somewhere in his jeep.
My step-son's locker in his Dekalb high school was next to Cindy Crawford's old locker. It was made into sort of a shrine and nobody uses it now.
