Because there is a stereotype that gay people like fashion and are feminine. Of course this isnt true but you need to tell people who say that that you dont appreciate it and if they are your friends they will stop.

because lots and lots of guys are uncomfortable vs stores. i worked there in processing. . . one night i was bringing out some new clothes and happened to accidentally catch the eye of a guy who was looking at a panty table. he immediately withdrew his hand and blurted out, "I'M NOT GAY!"
course, there are lots of guys who are comfortable, but i encountered more who weren't. don't worry about them; you know what you are, be secure in it.
