Put somewhere on the map, "If all else fails, have wife ask directions'. It seems to me most men in the world have "Moses Syndrome" By that I mean if Moses would have let his wife speak to strangers he would not have been lost in the desert for 40 years.
Symbol would be of woman asking driver of another car with husband sitting in his vehicle with disgusted look on face.

I have done several maps for a client of mine. I have added population density, bus route, schools, main highways, parks and stores. I used a program called ARC view. Look on the net. I contacted them and they sent me a demo. It is very complex.

Maybe population clusters. As far as a symbol...maybe %
