Yeah, this bothers me, too. Obviously people who are posting questions at Yahoo have access to Wikipedia or other sources and are looking for some help from people who have some real life experience. Another one of my "favorite" responses is when the answerer says something like, "I typed 'ducks' into Yahoo Search and came up with 213,457 hits, so you could easily find out the answer to your question about how to take care of a sick duck." What really is annoying is when the answer goes to voting and people vote for that unhelpful response instead of one where the answerer went to the trouble to write a specific response based on personal knowledge. Oh well.... I guess some of us really get into collecting points, even though we know they are completely without value.

If the questioner hasn't done a web search for themselves then to direct them to that source may be of help to them. To copy and paste a complete answer without editing is a waste of time but if the Answerer has more information to add then fair dues.
Takes all sorts.

the point...well what is the point....if someone asks a question and the answerer is kind enough to research in whatever way or means they can then copy and paste for the questioner what harm is there?
Not everyone has an encyclopedia for a brain ---so why do you have a problem with the way they answer the quetion?

If someone was too lazy to check Wikipedia in the first place before asking their question, what does it matter if those answering do go there?

Quicker than writing an answer to something they often know nothing about. Plus you might just get some points out of it?.
