Please don't allow them to make you feel bad. They're just not worth it. Their opinion is of no interest. By the way, you did report the person who said that all gay people should be killed didn't you? It's against yahoo policy to write stuff like that.

I agree with you...I actually had someone answer one of my questions and say about how good Yahoo answers were about removing violations immediately...I almost fell off my chair...I have reported really evil/violent anti-glbt stuff on here and been duly ignored....that's equality?? I got a violation notice for virtually thanking everyone for all the questions and saying goodnight...I guess if I had put a question mark after it--it would have passed...I sent in a message to Yahoo demanding an apology..but don't hold your breath -- they don't seem to be accountable to anyone.

The reason why is that this is a free society. We are to an extent, permitted to read, write, and speak exactly how we feel as long as it doesnt pose to do harm to people who do not believe as we do.
Yes, this great land of our WAS founded on GOD, but the belief of how we serve god, or our religion of what we call GOD has greatly changed. We came from a great many protestants, catholics, so on and so forth. We are the MELTING POT OF THE WORLD. We are a group of diverse peoples, religions, and backgrounds. We no longer like our mother countries reserve the right to tell people how to live, believe or anything else.
When it comes to someone's sexual preference you are not permiited to make such remarks, no matter how you feel to the welfare of that person.

This is a public forum which is why they get on here. Some of their more offensive attacks do get removed. If you used vile language in your answer to one of them, I am more than sure they reported you for it and took pleasure in your being sanctioned by Yahoo.

Here is the real issue. If you let them make you feel bad once, shame on them.. if you let them make you feel bad twice, shame on you.

If you are going to take them seriously, then don't read their crap. There are plenty of folks who will carry on the defense of gays right to exist. I have been reporting some of the more offensive ones all along.. and had them get sanctioned.

Patience, grasshopper.
Anyone is allowed to come in here, but if they abuse us they can be reported or their ignoreance noted in a tactful way.
The problem was the language you used, because you were upset with the question.
They can't make us feel bad, we can only make ourselves feel bad. The only reason to feel upset here is that you showed a lack of patience (which is something you can overcome). You should never feel bad because of who you are or about the fact that YA removed your question or took points from you.

First, only you can make you feel bad. This is what i do. I share not defend. Exchange points of view. Let go of attachment and the sense of being offended when you hear other opinions will cease. My Bible says love everyone, treat people as you would like to be treated.Everyday we have the opportunity to lead by example. if your actions do not match your words,it will be revealed who you truly are.Be the change for a better world.

"is Yahoo run by those ignorant Christians?"

I don't think they have cornered the market on ignorance. It's close though. I use to get all riled up about these "wacko religious nut-job groups" ... I got over it. I could see they were a group of mindless nitwits. Kinda like "Day of the Dead" types .. bunch of followers ... except "brains" are replaced with bibles!

If you didn't get out of hand, no one should have done that to you. But if you were too rough, then you should have been bashed with something.

Next time, report the question first, then respond to the person making sure it's in a totally correct form.

Don't leave those things get to you; it only hurts you.

It all depends on how you word your answer and if anyone reports you.

If a report is files yahoo seems to automatically remove those answers.

Please continue to defend what you believe in but word your answers with grace and eloquence. Often it is not the harsh words that get the reaction but the subtle one.

that's just what they want actually. I worried about that also, but look, you don't have to feel bad, you ain't doing somethin wrong, they are tho. ignoring them is kinda difficult, but that's one good solution. if you confront tham, do not lose control of yourself and write whatever comes to your head while furious. they supposedly know the bible but don't actually...

God Bless y'all

To Adam:
free speech exist, but there's a limit to it. you're free when you don't disturb other people's freedom. I guess you know that! and talking about profanation, exhaurting people to kill gays or hate gays is also one! and you define yourself as a true christian? you off by far!
