Its all a matter of opinion and what you are using the machine for. I prefer doing video, audio, and photo work on a Mac. I am comfortable with doing some video work and the typical office work on a PC.

Macs do come bundled with the iLife suite, which has iMovie, Garage Band (a music program), and Photo Booth. PC's... well, they have hundreds of programs that work with them.

If you can't decide, get a new Mac. Then get a copy of Windows XP and install it using Boot Camp. Then you can have all the advantages of Mac, or if you need to you can always boot up and live in the Windows world. At start up time, it will be your choice as to which you use, the Mac OS or Windows. Its a nice compromise.
