they're usually divided up by categories. once you find something you like, the website will have a code for it(it will either be below the layout, or it'll say "click here to get this code") log in and it'll take you to your home page, click edit profile, and paste the code into your about me section, save it and check your new profile =)

Using Yahoo, Google, or whatever search engine you like, type in free myspace backgrounds, or free myspace stuff the results will give you tons of web sites to choose from. Good luck

I agree with Naeemnaz!! Any good answers will help me also. I have been on myspace for a while and I still don't know how to get backgrounds!!!

first thing is to go to
http://www.pimp-my-profile.com
then on the left scroll down to the myspace.
click on myspace layouts
pick one you want (thousands to choose from).
copy the code under it.
go to myspace and click edit profile (right of picture/name).
paste the code any where in on your profile (i did mine in the about me section, but you can use any, i just wouldn't put it in the very first one/the smallest one).
then click on save changes.
then view profile (upper right in the edit profile, or under your picture on the main page for your myspace). wait a bit until everything loads up and it should be there.
