I have super oily skin. I scrub, I tone, and I’ve used every oxy pad, wipe, cleanser, every kind of product. I rarely wear makeup but when I do it's oil-free for oily skin but I'm still shiny and oily all of the time. The matte look only last for about 2 hours. In the summer it last 30 minutes. No matter the product I'm using if I wash my face at 7:00AM and by 9:00AM my makeup is almost gone and my face looks like I've smeared lard across it! ERRRRR! It so frustrating! Any ideas or products?

First you could be over cleaning your skin. This can cause more oil production in some people. Next before you apply makeup or powder put a thin layer or milk of magnesia in the oily areas of your face. Let that dry then apply your makeup. That trick works wonders. I have oily skin also. Next it may be something that you will have to grow out of. Sometimes the oil production slows down around age 35 or so in many people. Another thing you can try is Accutane. It is through a Dermatologist. It is for people with severe oily production and/or acne. You may want to try going to a Derma anyway if the above suggestions do not help. Hope you have more good skin days!

I PROMISE THIS WORKED FOR ME!!!!!!!! I have super oily skin also. I couldn't find any oxy or stridex to work to make my skin less oily. I EVEN USED TO RUB STRAIGHT RUBBING ALCOHOL ON MY FACE AND NOTHING! Then I had a baby, I used BABY MAGIC REGULAR BABY WASH on him. So, one night after going out I came home and needed to wash my face and all there was to use was Baby Magic so, I used it. My face instantly felt tighter and not so oily. Over the next week I would wash my face with it in the morning and at night then my skin was great and much much less acne. TRY IT! But, it has to be Baby Magic BRAND! Good Luck!

You may be overdoing it. If you try to take all the oil out of your skin, it'll just try to produce more. I like Neutrogena products. You need oil control makeup. And find a cleanser for your skin type. I also like those oil control tissues. They'll absorb the oil and they're easy to just put in your purse and use them as you need too.

i think you're trying too hard. as well as stripping your skin of all oils in the process. this causes it to overcompensate with extra oil.

instead, wash your face no more than twice a day with a mild cleanser. i use cetaphil bar soap cleanser in the shower and clean and clear daily pore cleanser at night. remember to moisturize after you wash your face. i know it seems like the opposite of what you should do, but the lotion with seep into your pores and make it think it's already produced enough oil to take care of your skin. i love oil of olay beauty lotion, but i use the equate version for $2 at wal-mart. it works great.

to combat oil throughout the day, use powder and oil blotting sheets. clear and clear has them, but i've heard that the toilet seat covers are made out of the same material.

good luck!

I use Mary Kay products for this same problem. The medium coverage foundation is very lightweight and last all day. I also use beauty blotters which are oil absorbing tissues which remove any oil during the day.

Oily skin has been a problem of mine for a very long time. I know for sure that you can't get rid of it completely, but this skincare regimen has helped me control my oily skin so that it is much less noticeable.

DAILY:
--Morning: Cleanse with Bioré Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser; Tone with Almay Toner for Normal/Combo (the one for oily skin is too harsh for me); Moisturize with Aveeno Positively Radiant Moisturizer.
Even if you have oily skin you must moisturize it daily to keep it from drying out. If your skin gets dried out from cleansers and other products, then it will automatically try to fix the dryness by producing more oil. The key is to clear your face of dirt and oil and then moisturize once your skin is completely dry and oil-fre.

--Night: Cleanse and tone with the same products as morning; Moisturize with Proactiv Repairing Lotion.

**KEEP IN MIND**
Even if you have oily skin you must moisturize it daily to keep it from drying out. If your skin gets dried out from cleansers and other products, then it will automatically try to fix the dryness by producing more oil. The key is to clear your face of dirt and oil, and THEN moisturize once your skin is completely dry and oil-free.
If your skin is not prone to acne try using Bioré's Shine Control Cream Cleanser and Aveeno's mositurizer at night as well (instead of Proactiv). If you feel that you would rather use Almay's toner for oily skin, go ahead. I just didn't want something too harsh on my skin, so I use the normal/combination skin type version.

WEEKLY:
Wednesdays-- Scrub with Neutrogena Acne Wash 60 Second Mask Scrub. Some good alternatives are Bioré Pore Unclogging Scrub or St. Ives Apricot Scrub for Oily Skin. Follow with usual products. [[night]]

Saturdays-- Use Bioré Self-Heating Mask after using a gentle cleanser. Follow with usual products. [[night]]

Sundays-- Use Bioré Deep Cleansing Pore Strips after washing face at night. Follow with usual products. [[night]]

**KEEP IN MIND**
If you are too harsh or drying to your oily skin, it will continue to produce a lot of oil on your face. Be patient and use products that have a well known reputation for controlling oil. You can also use oil-blotting sheets for the middle of the day.

You have to get some of the oil out of your diet. Also, the more you use things on your skin to dry it out, the more your body produces to compensate.
