for a so called mother to decorate her daughter's bedroom with playboy memorabilia? The daughter is not yet an adult but a teen, what kind of messages are we sending to children?

Thankfully I don't know any fcuked up mothers... but when I responded to a question on here about a mother wanting to do it... I was emailed a load of abuse.... so I wanted to make sure that I wasn't being over sensitive and wanting to fight for a child's right to a childhood when it's own mother won't....

I didn't mean the mother wanted to stick up porn images... just the playboy insignia... bunny stuff probably..... I would hope she didn't mean the stars of the show....

She is the mother, and I suppose as such, can decorate the kids's room as she likes!
Do I think to use Playboy is right? No I don't.
Let the child be a child first! What the hell is going on in this world? Where has that innocence of childhood gone?
I am sure there are many out there that bring that magic to your kids! Why can't there be more of you?
I would hazard a guess, and say that the response so far is from idiots!

Playboy are very clever at marketing,, the use a bunny logo and they use the colour pink, both appealing to young girls, they have a lot more going for them other than soft porn, it is the innocence of the child that makes the Playboy items appeal to her, i doubt for one moment that the child associates the bunny logo with highly paid models baring their bodys of their own free will, all the child sees are cute and pretty items.I have a 13 year old daughter and we have just ordered her a Pink Limo for her birthday outing, they just love pink.

No!! That's not appropriate!! That's like teaching your teen daughter some things she shouldn't know by now

she's the mother and I guess she can do whatever she wants. The message is not in how the room is decorated but what they see growing up and the environment they grow up in
