It's probably legal to install Limewire and share files that are permittable. However if something is copyrighted, like music, and is shared through Limewire, that is illegal.

I use it all the time and so do many other poeple i know because of this i looked up the question and i found out that it is not illegal yet but could become illegal in the near future because why buy songs if you could just get them for free?? so police will probably make it illegal but havnt yet

yes it is and its against the law to use all free downloading sites,its only a matter of time before we will have to pay for these sites and blame it on the record companies.

yup. only limewire pro is legal. but here's a hint, go to search programs and type in limewire pro. you can download it from regular limewire, but shh, you didn't hear it from me.....

Thats what I've heard but my brothers still use it and I down load songs off there all the time.... but that doesn't make it right does.....so you decide if you wanna use it or not

it really depends on what you're downloading. if you break copyright laws it's illegal
