I believe I lost mine around 34 weeks and I am 39 weeks and 1 cm dialated (as of last Tuesday) and still have not gone into labor...My due date is the 14th. You can loose your mucous plug anywhere from an hour to many weeks before you go into labor. Just stay calm and stress free. That will help you and the baby most! Don't worry too much about having your baby early...at least the baby is fully developed at this point. If you do have the baby some time soon he or she may have to be in the hospital a couple nights without you but will be just fine....my husbands cousin had her baby 5 weeks early and he weighed over 6lbs. He was kept in the hospital for 2 nights after she was discharged because he wasn't holding his own body heat..and at the point they were bottle feeding him. Now he is over 2 months old and healthy as can be and now won't even take a bottle he is breast feeding...and they say its hard for a baby to go from bottle to breast...so keep that in mind when you think about it!! If the baby comes early he or she will still be just fine!! Best of luck to you!! I hope everything goes well..also keep in mind a due date can be off by as much as 3 weeks so for all you know you could be 37 weeks already!!

Passing a mucus plug is a sign that your cervix is dilating and your body is starting to prepare for birth. Labor could be hours, days, or even weeks away as the cervix gradually opens over time. So theoretically, you could hold off haveing the baby until you are closer to your due date. Just do as your Doctor says, stay in bed and keep taking the medication. Good luck

I know this isn't the answer you were looking for, but anything can happen. I think you could go until 40 weeks without your mucus plug, but it seems like the baby is ready to come and you might not be able to stop it. Good luck.

It can take days or weeks after the mucus plug breaks to go into labor. You might be fine and as long as you are having your child in a hospital.. things should be smooth even if your child is a little early.
Good luck!

intercourse is a organic and organic mechanism it extremely is meant for use for duplicate. finding it gratifying is a factor-effect to 'trick' us into doing it, contained in the comparable way that maximum of use sense sturdy via ingesting extreme-sugar meals or having a snooze. maximum creatures are pushed to bypass on as a lot of their DNA as achieveable via intercourse. human beings whether are sentient and have unfastened will, so the regulations do no longer likely notice to us contained in the comparable way. we've chanced on techniques of 'fooling' nature via allowing us to get the exhilaration of intercourse without the reproductive element. whether the main significant evolutionary 'factor' of intercourse remains to reproduce, in spite of the indisputable fact that during my opinion the 'factor' is extremely beside the point to our species.
