we want something where he can look ridiculous and i can look decent... any original ideas? not so much the plug & socket type.. or adam & eve and priest & nun or sexy cop & prisoner or "sick & tired" or "nuts & bolts" or "peace & quiet"... something different.. last year we were a figure skating pair with real matching outfits & skates. any good ideas? maybe 80's or 90's movie/tv/cartoon characters? help!

I know where you're coming from: my husband and I dress up together every year, and we're in college too.
Here are things we've done in the past:
*Greek togas (I made authentic looking ones)
*18th cenutry zombies (I made him a suit, and a dress with front lacing for me. I then tattered the costumes, and then I did his make up so he looked like he had a head wound and he was decomposing, but I just did mine with dark eyes and pale skin.)
Here are my suggestions:
*Egor and Frankenstein's fiance from "Young Frankenstein"
*the "gate keeper" and "key master" from "Ghostbusters"
*Drew Carey and Mimi Bobeck (have him be Mimi!)
*the fat guy from "The Meaning of Life" and the waiter
*Buffy the Vampire Slayer and one of the many, many demons she fought
*an Egyptian Princess and a mummy
*Maid Marion and her maid from "Robin Hood, Men in Tights"
*a belly dancer and her eunich guard
*Ren and Stimpy
*Melissa and Jason or Coach McGrurk and the Nurse from "Home Movies"
*a mermaid and a fisherman

Nanny and Kid
You can dress in the tradional black and white costume. That shouldnt be hard to find.
And he can wear a tight shirt and have a huge lollypop. Have him wear a basebal hat and dont forget a little tricycle.
