The best thing would be to set up a loss/gain account or section where you can record it whenever it happens. Normally this will balance out to 0 after a while. Keep an eye out on it; if the amount in there gets too large then you have to go back and figure out what's going wrong; least to where you get it back to an acceptable amount.

I disagree with a lot of what has been said below... BUT it depends on your country... Ive been in mental wards all my life due to a lot of mental inless.... Ive never had any debt though.. Physical and materials mean nothing no me... I dont care if I life in a box or the hilton.. it really is the same to me.... Ive only heard from other people who accumulated debt... they talk to me a lot in hospital... and THEY DO, assistance... IF YOU can proove you are not all there.. I am obviously 'all there' and it doesnt matter to me because I have no money issues... BUT a lot of my friends in the hospital I am in spend 23 hours a day trying to proove they are insane or not far off.... Sooooooo in the end it really comes down to how mentally ill you are.... With me I am just a sad ******... so who cares....

Are you kidding? I'm a type A personality! I'll hunt down a penny! After all...it's my money, I earned it, I want to know where it is. Write it off...I don't think so!

I try to figure it out - and usually do. If I can't, it drives me nuts. It's not the amount, it's the point of it!

I don't even open my bank statements when they arrive each month. I pretty much keep track of everything on-line everyday.
