I have to give a speech on drunk driving for over 400 people in my college and i cant even get started on it. i dont know what to put in it what not to how to prepare it if anyone has giving a speech on this topic ans can help PLEASE!!

just like writing a paper: introduction, body and conclusion. if i were giving the speech, i'd start with facts about drunk driving (stats of death, arrested, who's drinking; penalties for drunk driving). in the body, what's been done to prevent drunk driving; what you suggest should be done to prevent drunk driving; where to find more information and different organization about drunk driving. Conclusion, sum up what you just talked about. Normally speeches last 10-15 minutes. If you have any slides to show the effects of drunk driving, that'll be helpful to get people's attention. you can get more info if you check out organizations against drunk driving.

Have a couple of stiff vodkas before you step up to the podium. You will then find your words flow pretty freely. If you can afford it, pay for a free bar to serve drinks for the 400 people about an hour before you have to give your speech. You will go down a storm.

Start with the statistics. Maybe even a real life story of someone who was affected by this - either a driver who killed someone or the family of someone killed or maimed.
Then move on to causes and solutions - either cause 1, 2, 3 and solution 1, 2, 3 or Cause 1, Solution 1, Cause 2, solution 2...

Start off by going to the "Mothers Against Drunk Driving" website. They have a lot of good information/stats that you can use.

Maybe contact someone from AA as I am sure they will be able to supply you with some graphic,horror stories from some of their members, that will give you the body of your speech then just work on your intro. which maybe some startling statistics to catch their attention, then work on how to exit your speech, with something thought provoking...good luck!

students love gore and guts.. give them a real life story of what has happened to drink drivers in the past and how it effected not just them but there loved ones and also random peoples familys have been torn apart because of them.

try to get info about drunk driving start with a book about it or something.1 bad thing about drunk driving is when you crash you may die.......
